The Making of Quadrille
Noble Horse recreates historical Horse Festivals in the European fashion. The historic Noble Horse Riding Hall was originally constructed in 1872 (and renovated in 2003). Great care was taken in renovating the site to the style of the indoor Riding Halls of Europe such as the Vienna Spanish Riding School, the Cadre Noir in France, the Royal Andalucian School of Equestrian Art in Spain and the Riding Hall of the Portuguese Riding School (in Portugal).
Noble Horse equines and their riders spend years to achieve the amazing level of horsemanship one experiences during Quadrille. It takes many years of training and experience to achieve some of the most advanced riding skills such as the levade (horse rears up on hind feet), passage and piaffe (where the horses seem to dance) and the famous spanish walk.
Noble Horse is continuing that tradition of this rare art form by offering a variety of horse acts to entertain and educate audiences. Extensive planning and research has gone into the making of Noble Horse's Quadrille. Over 20 horses are used for the performances. Some of the horse breeds are Andalusians, Lipizzans, Arabians, Thoroughbreds and Quarter horses.
Our 30 equestrian performers/riders consist of professionals, highly trained students and volunteers with extensive horse experience.
Some of our staff:
Omar Chinibekov and Sergey Latokhin, of Kazakhstan, and execute breath-taking acrobatic trick riding (commonly known as Cossack Riding). during the performance. Omar has performed with the Moscow Circus, Ringling Brothers and many horse events around the world.
Agnes Turek is the Head Rider. She has been riding the art of dressage for over 20 years. Agnes has ridden with Dora Christensen, Laura Steffee and George Shimpf. Agnes toured with the Royal Lipizzans, has performed at Equine Affair and The Midwest Horse Fair.
Dan Sampson is the Director of the Noble Horse Riding Hall. He was the founding member of the U.S. Marine Corps Mounted Guard in 1974. Dan rode at the famous Von Niendorf Cavalry School in West Germany. He has also ridden with Dora Christensen, Laura Steffee and Barry Frimpt. He is also has been a licensed horse shoer since 1977.
