The History
Originally titled "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King," this short story was written in 1816.

The Nutcracker was performed throughout Europe on horseback in the 18th century.

It was not until 1892 that the lengendary composer Tchaikovsky turned the tale into a full-length ballet.

The Noble Horse is the only theatre in North America to perform the historic version of "The Nutcracker" on horseback.

Traditionally at the end of horse shows the riders and horses line up for the audience. Noble Horse has added on to this tradition by inviting the audience to actually touch and admire their strength and beauty.

The Production
Noble Horse takes pride in its historical production of The Nutcracker in the original version. This is an exciting rendition of the classical holiday tale as it was performed over 175 years ago.

Our equestrian troup consists of riders and horses from around the world. Two of our star riders from Kazakhstan, Omar Chinibekov and Sergey Latokhin, perform breath-taking acrobatics on horseback as part of the story.

Dan Sampson, the Producer and Director, has studied classical horsemanship extensively throughout Europe.

Years of extensive training and rehearsal went into the making of The Noble Horse's "Nutcracker on Horseback."
